Employment Supports

Supported Employment is designed to provide instruction/support to individuals to develop positive work habits, job skills, industrial practices and social skills.
Individuals are offered on-going training and support which will facilitate either paid employment or unpaid placements which are consistent with the goals and the needs of the individual.

The emphasis may not necessarily be competitive employment, but may include satisfying work alternatives reflective of individual interests.

The pre-vocational component assists service users in developing those skills and habits necessary to function within the work setting.
The service compliments the existing structure and promotes the development of individuals through either an increasingly structured vocational program or a more independent work setting.
