Hiring Policy

Given the nature of the Association, staff numbers are maintained at a level to provide optimal support services to those served.

Community Living Fort Frances and District seeks to employ the most competent persons available without regard to, and will not permit discrimination against employees to applicants on the basis of race, ancestry, place of origin, creed, age, ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, disability or other protected status.

Upon hiring a new employee, the organization will establish a clear understanding of the conditions under which s/he is being employed and will endeavour to provide working conditions and an atmosphere conducive to enabling each employee to contribute to the fullest extent possible, his/her skills and competence.

Anyone interested in applying for employment with the Association will be required to complete an application form and submit a resume. Interviews will be granted to suitable candidates with offers of employment pending interview results, reference checks, and criminal record checks.

It is the responsibility of Program Supervisors/Managers to notify Human Resources, of the need for staff replacement or additional staff. The Executive Director is responsible for administrative staff positions.

Terms of Reference – All persons interviewing on behalf of Community Living Fort Frances and District will uphold the requirements of the Ontario Human Rights Code, and will employ a consistent set of job-related questions.
